$10,000 Accidental Death benefit is paid when a member dies from accidental bodily injury, or
exposure or loss of life due to adverse weather conditions, or disappearance for 365 days after the
date of an accident.
$10,000 Line of Duty benefit is paid in addition to the above Accidental Death benefit when an
active at work member is killed in the line of duty.
Expanded Accident Benefits are paid when a member is involved in an accident that directly results
in one of the following losses:
Loss Thumb and Index Finger
of Same Hand$ 2,500
Loss of sight, both eyes $10,000
Loss of sight, one eye $ 5,000
Loss of hands or feet $10,000
Loss of hand or foot $ 5,000
Reattachment of Hand or Foot $ 5,000
Loss of Speech $ 5,000
Loss of Hearing (both ears) $ 5,000
Quadriplegia $10,000
Paraplegia $ 5,000
Hemiplegia $ 5,000
Occupational Assault benefit paid in addition to the Accidental Death & Line of
Duty benefits when an active at work member’s loss of life occurs as the result of
an act of physical violence.$ 5,000
Seat Belt benefit paid in addition to other applicable benefits when a member is killed as
a result of an automobile accident while properly utilizing a seat belt system, as $10,000
evidenced by a police report.
Common Carrier benefit paid in addition to other applicable benefits if a member is
killed while being a fare-paying passenger on qualifying public transportation. $10,000

Life Insurance:
The Idaho State Lodge FOP provides all members $5000 Accidental Death & $10,000 Line of Duty life insurance coverage. All members of local lodges are automatically members of the State Lodge. Many local lodges provide additional insurance coverage for their members as well.
Legal Defense:
Comprehensive Legal Coverage is available through the FOP Grand Lodge. The plan is currently administered by the Hylant Group. Full coverage is available exclusively to FOP members for around $150 per year! A bargain considering the cost of personally obtaining legal counsel.
Scholarships:The Idaho State Lodge FOP has provided several educational scholarships to both members and immediate family members.
