Sgt. Stacy Heim, Caldwell PD
On May 2, 2007 Sergeant Stacy Heim of the Caldwell Police Department was killed in a tragic car crash in Canyon County. Stacy had worked for the Caldwell Police Department for 7 years after being hired on as a self sponsored cadet. Stacy leaves behind her husband Trevor Heim who works for the Canyon County Sheriff's Department and two sons, Alex and Slater. Both Trevor and Stacy are members of Lodge #29.

Middleton High School
For immediate release:
In an effort to address the immediate needs of the students and faculty
of Middleton High School, The Ada County Sheriff Employees Association,
in conjunction with the Ada County Sheriffs Office, are asking the
public to join in and help by donating school supplies, books and
classroom supplies.
Collection points will be located at sheriff substations in Eagle, Kuna
and Star Fire. Ada County School resource officers will also be
coordinating relief efforts at the direction of the various school
student councils.
Students, parents, businesses and families are encouraged to show
support for those who are facing this challenging situation.

Horst Family, Pocatello PD
Friends and family of Thomas Horst, the four-year-old son of Pocatello Officer Chad Horst and Jessica Horst, recently diagnosed with a stage 3 Wilms Tumor (kidney cancer), will be hosting a benefit dinner to help raise money to cover medical expenses. The spaghetti dinner will be held Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. Tickets for the event are $5.00 a person, or $20.00 a family, and can be purchased at the Records Division of the Pocatello Police Department, or for those on night shift, in Dispatch. Raffle tickets are also being sold for several items donated by local businesses. Those items will be raffled off the night of the dinner.
Also the concert is this Thursday on the 28th a the Red Lion inn. The name of the group is Backbeat which is a Beatles revival band it s at 7PM Tickets are 10.00 or 30.00 for a group pass which will get 5 people in. Money raised will go towards The Horst Family.
